Welcome

Welcome to the “Third :: Direction” website. Third :: Direction is all about providing a new more
sustainable direction for mankind, and through this, the planet. There is no doubt that mankind has started to radically affect the planet that we all live on, even for people who are living in a constant state of denial are starting to realise how things are changing.

However Third :: Direction is of the view that we can all still do something to affect this change, but it does mean taking another direction. This direction we are calling the Third :: Direction. Basically the Third :: Direction is all about starting to live more harmoniously with our planet, through the adoption of a more green lifestyle. We are not talking about going back to an agricultural based society, but rather to live a more balance lifestyle using technology to help us to minimise our footprint on the planet.

Minimizing our footprint on the planet can be carried out in a number of ways, but initially we are going to concentrate on minimizing our carbon footprint. We all use energy everyday day to go about our normal lives, unfortunately that energy is largely carbon based and in the process of generating this energy we create green house gases which is steadily making the planet hotter and hotter. To minimize our carbon footprint we are going to advocate a series of paths, that should at a minimum minimize our footprint, and as a maximum eradicate our footprint all together and make us in effect carbon neutral.

Within this website you will find both the means to calculate your carbon footprint and the means to minimize your foot print or eradicate it. Please see our section on “Calculate your Footprint” to understand your current footprint, and then if you have decided to minimize your footprint, visit our “Offsetting your Footprint” page.
